    A short video lesson from an academy teacher introduces one new idea, step by step.

  2. Stage 2

    Learn

    Guided practice with hints. Mistakes are part of learning: your child gets a nudge, then tries again.

  3. Stage 3

    Play

    An adventure activity puts the new skill to work inside the academy's world.

  4. Stage 4

    Master

    A short mastery check. Scoring 80% or more (after guided practice) unlocks the next lesson. Not there yet? A fresh explanation and a fresh set of questions.

  5. Stage 5

    Celebrate

    Learning points, badges and avatar items celebrate real understanding and effort, never time on screen.

    Mastery is measured against the full Year 3 sequence, so you will never see 100% for a strand that is only partly built.

    Topics are flagged for support when the evidence shows a pattern, not a single slip, such as two unsuccessful mastery checks on the same lesson.

    Points, levels and percentages are calculated from your child's stored answers and checks. Nothing is rewarded for screen time.

    Break reminders after 25 minutes of active learning by default, and you can change it.
